Get Cozy

by the fire! I took some photos of the fire at my in-laws house over Christmas. I adjusted the setting for each picture and was excited with what I got.

Garth Concert

Jonathan and I had the extreme pleasure of seeing none other than Mr. Garth Brooks live in concert monday night. Here are a few shots I got during our trip to Nashville. It took me forever to pick a setting for the camera. I finally gave up on manual mode and took all the concert photos in Night Portrait. The stage lights were very cool.

Lenses? Need Help!

If there are any photographers out there reading, I could use your help. I am using the lens that came with my Cannon Rebel XS and although it's a great lens I would like a little more. I don't know a lot about lenses and am researching them but I still don't understand a lot of the technical jargon. What are some good, inexpensive lenses out there? What do you think about fish eye lenses? I know they are more novelty than anything but I think it would make for some great photos. I've been told that 55mm fixed zoom lenses are great for taking photos upclose and have been thinking about getting one since I love taking upclose shots of people. Lenses are sooo expensive though. ugh. Are used lenses a good choice?
