Last Day

On the last day of our trip Jeremy and Liz went to see some of her family on Northshore so Jon and I got to spend our final day together. We spent all day at the pool and on the beach. We had lunch at the Moana and drinks at Duke's. We went for a little walk and explored a little at the Royal Hawiian and visited Duke's statue. For dinner we went to Sansei at the Marriott. Its sushi was highly recommended by the locals and it was guh-ooood!

Aloha Hawaii and Maholo for this wonderful vacation!

Days 5 and 6

Okay, so I got so busy having fun that I didn't make time to blog. But I was in Hawaii so that's a good thing! Let's see......

On Thursday we spent the day at Hanauma Bay. We finally got a full day of sunshine! Me, Jon, and Jeremy snorkeled while Liz hung out on the beach. The snorkeling there is amazing. We saw two huge sea turtles and a lot of really beautiful fish and coral. Hanauma Bay is a must see for anyone going to Oahu.

After spending the day at Hanauma Bay we went on a sunset cruise. Well.... I thought it was a sunset cruise but it was more like a booze cruise. Let's just say one particular older lady made it a very memorable experience...

On to day 6. Friday was our 5th anniversary and we celebrated big! That morning the 4 of us did a flight tour of the island. It was pretty awesome. The water looked even more gorgeous from above and we got to see The Black Pearl.

After our flight we headed to chinatown for lunch. Sorry, didn't take the camera so I don't have any pictures of our yummy food. But if you happen to find yourself on Oahu one day make the trip the chinatown, yum!
Since we planned our trip so that we could be there on our anniversary, Jon and I decided to renew our vows on the beach. We wrote our own vows this time and did a renewal at sunset. I must say, this ceremony was much more relaxed than the one we had 5 years ago. I wish I had been so relaxed on our wedding day, then I may remember most of it. As soon as we started the ceremony, I began to cry. I was so happy that I couldn't hold it back no matter how hard I tried. It was beautiful and I will never forget it.

Day 4

Today we decided to head up to Northshore. Jeremy and Liz did a shark cage adventure while Jonathan and I found a fairly secluded beach. It was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. It's beauty compares to that of the caribbean beaches. There were huge rock formations that extended from the beach to the water. Jon of course had to jump off one. : ) After meeting back up with J and Liz we did a little shopping and they got some artwork. My piece of art is going to be the big piece of coral I found on one of the beaches we stopped at. For lunch we went on a search for Giovanni's Shrimp Truck. It, along with Helena's, was on the Travel Channel so I wanted to check it out. Jon had a combo of spicey and lemon butter shrimp and I had the garlic. YUM! We drove all the way around the top of the island and had some pretty awesome scenery. I decided that when we move here we are just going to build a tree house. Who needs brick and mortar when you live in paradise?
